I hate to be a bummer but
I just bought a new fishing boat an had no one to go with on the first trip out.I thought I'd take my dog.I loaded up the boat an we took off for the lake, about 2 miles away.I pull up to a stop sign about 5 cars back an she (shelby) jumped right out the driver side window into oncoming traffic an boom, she's dead! I've seen it a thousand times in my head since it happened on thursday at 5:51 pm. so to fill the void of a big lonely home my wife bought a new puggle from petland on saturday at 6:00 pm.I've had the dog less than 48 hours and its in the vet hospital with pnuemonia and probably wont make it thru the night. They dont care if the puppy lives or not, they will give us a new one in exchange for the sick one or dead one. They could care less if the sick one lives or dies, they will not refund any money.I have 2 local news teams coming over for interviews tomarrow morning.Sorry to go for so long but, drive careful if your dog hangs out the window and please dont buy a pet from a petstore. She would of been 1 year old tomarrow.I've been here a while and its the hardest thing ever to go thru.Just remember, here today gone tomarrow its just that quick and final.peace out, jethro

Was it petsmart or petco? The big pet stores are like that but I did run into some smaller ones where people gave a **** about animals. Unfortunately most have gone out of business due to the other two moving in.

Sorry to hear that Jethro, I lost my beloved beagle Roxie in January to Antifreeze poisoning. We got a Boston Terrier puppy at the beginning of March and she was diagnosed with a severe heart murmur 3 weeks later. The breeder refunded all of my money and let me keep the dog. We'll probably have them do the surgery to fix the murmur. I hope all goes well for you.

Very sorry man. I've lost 3 dogs and it hurts like hell. My first dog was a chihuahua, 16 years old when she was attacked and killed by the neighbors vicious dog. I had a dachsund, 14 yrs old that went blind and she fell off a bed nose first and broke her nose, she had to be put down. My Mom put her on the bed and has never forgiven herself. My third dog, another chihuahua, 5 yrs old got kidney stones and died on the operating table. I miss them all and the pain is still there everytime I see a picture of them or think of them. I have no kids so dogs are like my kids. My Mom has a chihuahua that is 16 yrs old and I've become attached to her as well so I'm dreading losing her too. I feel for you bro.
