Do any of you guys use this ? Many installation programs and websites will install cookies and change registry settings so they can install spyware on your computer to see what you are doing so they can target you with advertising, e-mails, etc.
I hate this, so I installed and run this regularly.
Please note though, if you have Kazaa 2.6 installed, it's gonna find like 100 + of these things (cheeky gits), and it won't run if you remove them (you used to be able to remove them in 1.61).
I always reinstall Kazaa, get what I want, then I run this Lavasoft to remove all the spyware. I hate the thought of them spying on me. I sound like the guy in the joke where he gets caught by cannibals who want to make canoes out of his skin and for his last request he asks for a fork and stabs himself all over shouting, "You'll not make a bloody canoe out of me !!!"
I once had GAIN installed on my machine, I think you had to install it for DivX, which meant that everytime I opened a web browser, I got 5 other pop ups with related information that annoyed the hell out of me. This program was the only thing that could remove the GAIN software.
I swear by it !!!
