Right on Joy, I think it would be a blast to play on the tonight show. Although being that close to Jessica Simpson, I don't know how much I would be able to concentrate
wow joy, your the guitarist for jessica simpson? so you must be the person i can complain to about her first single being a rip off of a david bowie song. If it wasn't bowie than sorry, that was a few years ago i fogot. BUT she did rip off that first song.
well ok he's very good lol. but i still hate jlo's and jessicas music. but you can play, which makes up for that crap. i know you gotta make money, why not when you got 12 year old girls buying up that briteny jlo crap. anyways cool, someone famous posts here heh
One thing though, even with pop stars is that they surround them selves with the best musicians. We may not hear it with all the keyboards and crap but they are there.
You all have some great pictures. I see families, guitars, amps and even a gun. That's a good variety. Eric thanx for always posting my track and being truly open minded. Terry I must say you look so much like a friend of mine who plays guitar for Jeff Scott Soto and Grham Bonet (did I spell that right?). You also got lotta cool gear. Wolfman looks like he has a serious half stack as well. I bet that sounz great. You from NY Wolfman? I will be there next couple of days and couple of days a week for the next 3 weeks. That seven string looked fun too. I still need one of those.
I think there needs to be a vhfans party.
Hey Joy - first off, it's a pleasure having you on the board. Being a fan of artists like Jeff Beck, I love hearing your experimental style.
You asked if I was from NY. I actually grew up in upper Jersey until I was a teen and then moved to Lexington, KY (strange twist, huh?), where I've been ever since. I still have ties in the NYC area though. I'm hoping to be relocating to California soon, though.
That half-stack you mentioned was a great steal I bought years ago - a guy that remembered me as a aplayer called me out of the blue and told me he was selling it, and even though he had plenty of guys he could sell to, he chose me. It was cool, because I guess he felt like helping out a young kid at the time to get started on their gear. The head is a '74 MK II. I switched the power tubes from 6550's to EL34's a few years ago and love the change. The cabinet is a 1960 Bass Lead model with the original celestion greenbacks in it. It's been a great workhorse of a rig for several years. I'd really like to get a Fender amp at some point though for my clean work, and it will be the next big piece of gear I buy. Then it's on to buying a few more strats. I haven't bought much gear the last couple of years since I haven't been gigging regularly, but tripoutski from the boards lives out in Cali as well and we are pretty close and plan to play together once I can make my move.
It's very tiny, seems okay to me Must have been pretty warm when you took that pic heh?
