Maiden fans, Up The Irons!

I'm listening to the Rock In Rio double CD right now and it brings back great memories.
I've been following these blokes since I was in junior high school, riding my customized chopper moped, wearing a military jacket with band names written all over it in marker ink. What a trip!

I keep forgetting about Maiden, then I'll listen to an album again after months and I will invariably fall in love all over again.
That reminds me I have to buy “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”. I only have it in vinyl.
There is fantastic guitar playing and harmony in most of their songs. The composition is always great and most songs tell a story.

CC, my friend has just recently bought the double DVD of their videos.

Interestingly enough, there is a video for Tailgunner on it, that I wasn't aware of. He'll never lend it to me, but next time I am around at his house, I want to watch it !

He also has the Rock In Rio DVD as well, which is absolutely bloody awesome ! Exactly like the concert I went to.

Iron Maiden are a band I frequently forget about, and I must remind myself to buy more albums of them. I've never heard a bad song yet.

Re: Maiden fans, Up The Irons!

I bought all the albums till 7th son of a 7th son.

Nice songs and easy to play with for the main parts.

I saw Maiden when they headlined the European Monsters of Rock Tour in 1988. David Lee Roth (with Vai) played just before maiden on stage.....

After 7th son the singer (Bruce Dickinson) was sometimes away and then one guitarplayer (Adrian Smith) was also away. They both returned and the band has now 3 guitarplayer, but I never cared to listen to the newer stuff.

A question: Is the newer stuff diggable to buy or should I just leave it that way....?

siN, I really liked the new stuff !

I really love No Prayer For The Dying, and also Brave New World.

In my opinion, I would definitely check the stuiff out. Brave New World is as good as, if not bett the original stuff. Would you agree CC ?

siN, by all means, get Brave New World!

And their new one, Dance Of Death, is due out in September, I think--and the band says it's better than BNW (IMO, the best Maiden album since the mid-80s)
