my hand operation. (graphic)
i had my hand opreated on for the third time in 5 years. that is why i haven't been around here lately. got my cast off today and its pretty nasty. i don't think i'll be playing guitar any time soon. at least now i can use both hands to type. another week and the stitches come out. i have a lot of posts to catch up on. missed this place. eamon7

its a condition called dupuytrens contracture. fiberous cysts grow on the tendons in the hands and pull the fingers tward the palm. when they pull the fingers in past 90 degrees they have to do surgery. this is just the start. i have this on all of my fingers in both hands so i have a lot of surgerys like this to go through. at least it hasn't effected my guitarplaying and i hope to have a few years left before it does. i miss playing already but it won't be long before i'm back.

If I may offer some advice, healing can be very dependant on your health... so now is the time to start bein a HEALTH FREAK!!!!!
Nutrition, exersize (w/DR.'s OK) etc..

I'm not volunteering...
I have various disorders in my hand due to my occupation and masterbation is always brought up as the cause every time I complain about it to someone. I suppose it is possible....
