Sydney is probabaly a mix of Border Collie and Aussie, but we're not sure. I picked her up at the local shelter where she had been kept wayyy past her time to be terminated. She was such a cutie that the staff just couldn't let her go. Instead they nursed her back to health, away from the public, until she was presentable. This is when I came by and we fell in love.
I got her in time for our son's 6th Birthday and he was stoked!
She's been with us for four years now and appears to be about 9 years old.
Sydney stays around the house all day when we're away and is allowed to roam the streets and visit her dog friends. There are no fences or sidewalks in our area. She's a lucky dog, and I'd like to think she brings us luck too in return for saving her. [img]images/smilies/icon_sap.gif[/img]

hehe, yeah thats a good one, she had just come out form under her cave (blanket) and I was waving a piece of beef jerky in front of her.
The foot dog thing came from when she was a little puppy, half the size of her food bowl. She was afraid of her food bowl so I would tap it with my foot and say "The foot doggy is gonna get your food" then she would GRRRR and eat it. Now 10 years later if you say foot dog to her with your foot in reach...just have shoes on...lol its a trip. |
