Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
My wife works in advertisement and got two tickets for the premiere of T3 last night in Westwood. I took my son and we went and watched from bleachers as all the stars of the movie and many more clebs came down the Red carpet.
It was good seing Dany de Vito, John Voight, Tia Carrere, and of course Arnold and Maria.
After hours of Red Carpet ceremonies and interviews with the press, we were ushered into the theater, were Arnold came and shook hands with the crowd.
I'll tell you later about the movie itself, I've got to get ready for work... Hang in there!

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
Alright, I'm back!
As I said earlier, Red Carpet is a very Hollywood scene. You'd have to see it to believe it.
I was hoping that music celebs such as Ozzy or even EVH would show up, instead we saw a procession of more or less known young actors and a couple of RnB chicks hamming it up for the cameras.
Now the movie!
It wouldn't be fair to go into details about it as I don't want to reveal the plot and spoil the surprise, but all I can say is that the concerns I had about the movie being irrelevant today are now gone. I read that critics were concerned the film wouldn't connect with younger audiences that were babies when the two first movies came out and I think it's bullshit. Vin Diesel has nothing on Arnold baby! The Austrian Oak is still kicking serious ass!
The story line I though was very clever and held together very well as it tied into the previous two movies without making it sound as if they were desperate to make the connection, as it's often the case with sequels. IN other word, I think it's a well-written script.
There is a lot of hair-raising action and pursuit in the flick as well as a few touches of humor here and there, when Arnold sort pokes fun at some of the Terminator clichés. The special effects are as can expected absolutely awesome, without actually taking the film over. Believe it, the story is what holds the film together, and not just the visuals.
By the way the new catch phrase for T3 is “Talk To The Hand” (You'll see)
Finally, I'd like to congratulate the writers for giving T3 an end that's not at all typical of all these action flicks we've been fed for the past few decades. It's not what you would call a happy ending, and YES, it leaves room for a possible T4. Actually it makes you wish for a following, because you feel that the end of T3 is really the beginnig of another story you can't wait to see unveil.
I hope this little review will help!
Cheers,
CC

Thanks for the review dude, I am a huge fan of the first two and I was really hoping this wasn't going to get thumbs down. Glad to hear it made the grade, I am looking forward to seeing this.

I don't know what others thought of it, but the movie really did it for me.
I'm curious to see if FH has more inside info on this.

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
Hey! I want your guys' access to movies before they open I used to work for a theater many years ago and we would get to see everything the day before it opened but even then I didn't have your kind of early screening access.

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
Nothinkg less than kick ass! The movie itself was really well made and the action scenes were very well done. I can't imagine the time and work that went into the initial chase scene, they left nothing out of this, IMO one of the coolest chase scenes I have ever seen. All of the elements worked in this movie and the story line carried it well also, for those who haven't seen it I suggest doing so, it's well worth it.

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
Hey CC, thanks for whetting my appetite even more.
I saw the trailer for this when I went to see The Matrix : Reloaded. From the trailer, all I came away with was, "It's either gonna be really good, or really shite !"
Glad to hear that it's really good. From what you said, I think that I am going to really enjoy this, as I have the first two films !

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
In retrospect maybe I got all hyped up by the exclusive invitation and got caught up in the excitement of it all. Maybe the film is shit after all, but that's not what I remember.
I hope my review is pretty objective...

Re: Red carpet premiere of T3 last night!!!
I liked it alot. I had low expections going in but was pleasantly surprised. It's probably one of the better Summer movies I've seen so far, even beating out Hulk and The Matrix Reloaded! (Finding Nemo is still the best one so far!)
