Well, whatever...you win...as i do not care enough about the topic to argue with you. I know my reality and my past experiences and you know yours. I don't know yours and you don't know mine (although sometimes i sense that you project your experiences onto the world as if everyone does or at least should see things like you do). Although I don't really do it anymore, I have driven while high numerous, numerous times in my past and have no accidents or tickets to my record. others may not have faired so well. I am just telling you conclusions I have made based on my own experiences and what i have seen of the people/friends I have hung around with for many years. You are welcome to hold your own conclusions, and i am completely fine with that. But when you insinuate that my experiences are wrongly interpretted because they do not match your opinons, that is where I have a problem.

Are you saying that it is was ok that you drove while high?? Previous to this I thought the disagreement was about the similarity in thinking between the two things...I never even considered you might disagree with the inherint stupidity and selfishness of driving while intoxicated. If you really think it is ok to drive while high then there is no doubt that you would also feel such about something less dangerous such as playing guitar.

This is one of those things where your experience, due primarily to luck more than anything, doesn't alter the facts behind the issue. I also drove loaded a lot and I also did not get into accidents or get tickets (in fact my only accidents and tickets have all happened stone sober); however, I don't see how that affects the idiocy of the act...I'm sorry I ever did it.

If you are not saying that then I really don't understand because I can't think of any other reason for you to bring it up the way you just did. So please clarify what you mean by that because I can't help but interpret it as I have.

POD: I think this applies to the topic of the thread so in my judgement it belongs. I just want clarification here because this is pretty important to the discussion. If I'm wrong then sorry.

Look, I'm out, dude. I am respecting Pod God's request to chill out on arguing about this in order to let the thread stay open. You do what you want, but this is not worth getting worked up about. You have your opinion and I am fine with that. Please respect that I have my opinion and that both our opinion are valid for our own selves...just different.

It's obvious you guys would never agree, so why ruin the thread going back and forth? I have no problem keeping this open as long as it stays civil. If Jeff wishes to drop it, please respect that

this is what i meant. i would like to point out that it was geared tward the general public and no one in particular. i hope i didn't start this argument. it was not my intention but i firmly believe in being straight while performing and being at your best.

Well, I caught it but unfortunately you where more on the money than either of us expected. I think for most of the people on the other side of the fence driving while loaded is just too stupid to justify or rationalize though. I certainly don't think everyone getting high to play is that completely stupid...I just disagree with them.

I've never been drunk / high while playing, so I wouldn't know, I've actually never even been high in my whole life...

I find that pretty amazing. Not many people can make that claim (although I notice you didn't say never been drunk?). I always wonder how they managed it.

You're not missing a whole lot.
