Spare a thought for wahwah...
At around 5 ish (UK time, of course), wahwah gave me a ring to tell me that there's a big old snow storm coming my way, and that I'd do well to leave straight away before it hit Reading.
I did as advised and made it home...
It snowed like billy-o, but I was fortunate enought to be in a traffic jam during the worst of it, and then the snow eased up as the weather eased up. Still, a 35 minute drive took me an hour and a quarter.
Poor old wahwah though. He still has to make it back to his work depot, and then he has to battle back home. He has gone pretty much nowhere in the past several hours. He's stuck in a little village which has been gridlocked due to the bad weather.
He reckons he will be back home at around 11 p.m. It's not 9 p.m. here.
If he comes on line, be sure and give him a big warm welcome, I think the poor bugger will need it... I just hope his van has heating...

I would have taken a picture, but my camera is covered in vomit...

I'M BACK! 6 hours to travel 8 miles. 1200 abandoned cars. 16 traffic accidents in a 2 mile radius. Good old UK prepared as ever! If George Lynch wasn't there to keep my ears bleeding, I'd have fucking legged it!

Re: Spare a thought for wahwah...
Thanks man...worst snow we've had around here for a LONG time...I swear 2" fell in less than 30 minutes where I was. Loads of minor prangs as the road became a skating rink! Gotta go out in 7 hours and do it all again! You know any bands with loads of MONEY that need a guitarist!

Re: Spare a thought for wahwah...
It looked nice.
It's worse this morning cuz it's all frozen solid. But you still get the dickhead BMW drivers driving up your ass who wants to do 70mph !!!
It would make my day to see them in a ditch a few hundred yards up the road...
I can never understand why the gritters don't go out. It's been forecast since Saturday, and the snow fell at 5 pm yesterday. Surely they'd think, "Hmmm, you know what, with the snow fall and temperatures of -5C tonight, maybe it would be a good idea to grit the roads in the morning on the off chance that it all freezes..."
You'd think, wouldn't you ?

Yougotta ask the question, 'How does the guy who drives the snow plough get to work'!?!? Here's some pics of the white landscape.
