pretty cool list ! theres some in there that should be way higher though . the yardbirds having beck clapton and page as guitarists is just inspiring to say the least at one stage i think for a couple of gigs they had both beck and clapton playing guitar !

30 gene simmons discovers van halen ? ha ! i always stand by the fact that they didn't need him to get famous the demo he did for them is so weak ! the songs are awesome (the unreleased ones) but the sound and vibe is just nothing compared to vh1 ....

Great list! Some key moments there...was there any mention of the Judas Priest/Ozzy 'backward lyrics suicide court cases'? I thought that was a great time for the fall from grace of Tipper Gore and the PRMC thing.
