I know, Carmine. A long running joke between eric and myself. A coupla years ago, we had what you lot would consider a "flutter" of snow and it brought the whole of the UK to a standstill...
wahwah was stuck in traffic for ages.
I made the stupid mistake of posting about how much snow we had got over here and how we were gridlocked. Naturally, eric and everyone else assumed that there was a substantial amount of snow that had fallen.
That night, I actually posted some pictures of the "snow" that we had been subjected to. Needless to say, eric was very unimpressed by the pathetic effort that we were calling snow and had made such a fuss about.
He's been taking the piss ever since.

I just thought I'd get my comment in there first before he did...

We just got our first snow here in Minneapolis.
Already there was a major accident involving a semi-truck and a snowplow - right near my condo too on I-35.
Ya know, every year the TV news people get so worked up about it - it ticks me off. They spread all this fear about it - on the TV they have all these stories about the snowfall, like thats something NEW to Minnesotan's? WTF?
Hell, all we got was about 1 inch. I remember growing up in Duluth Minnesota and getting SO much snow that we couldn't open any of our doors to get outside. My Dad one year had to open up a window, and throw my skinny little ass outside to shovel all the doors out.
Now THATS a snowfall.

No shit! Half an inch? Ain't nothing man. If it was half a foot then I'd worry. But I've driven my big truck in 2 feet before on my old US Mail run. That was not fun. I was the only dumb ass to even try it - but I made it.

LOL!!!!!
Well, we've had our typical Kentucky transition of the seasons here, where it gets cold for a few days, gets unseasonably warm, repeats those a few times before it decides exactly which season it is supposed to be. Now the string of tornados and dangerous storms we've seen lately is bringing a cold front through here, and it's more like the beginning of winter than it is fall. A very hot summer and this current weather tells me we are going to have a hellish winter this year.
Yay.
