US Immigration Vent - Guitars101

ya know we open the borders here in the US for many years, giving to immigrants the opportunity for a better life because their countries dont give a hoot about them.

Tommorrow the illegal ones all are not going to go to their illegal jobs to show this country how important they are.

Theyve got to be kidding if they think this country will fold with no restaurants! We could really use less restaurants here since everyone has a fat ass!

And our Landscaping will have to be done by ourselves too.....less ass again!

So i see it as if they all got up and went back to their countries we would be alot healthier.

And to the immigrant construction guys and everyone else...lets illiminate unemployment and welfare now that jobs will be available.

I think this country has been abused by immigrants because they come from a place that the goverment abused them. Now Americans and the future generation will have to pay again.

The bad parts of the news seem to always be an illegal immigrant's illegal activities.

This week a spanish version of the Sar Spangled Banner (our national anthem) was released
....they desicrate our Anthem and say thats American...no way!

How would you like to hear your Anthem in Chinese...i dont think you would think its complimentary!

Amen Bro!...Whatever happened to "Love it or Leave it"?......I blame Oprah for all this bull**** that we're in as a country!!!....Everyone having to be politically correct and stuff.....I say if the immigrants in this country cant appreciate it for what it is,Then **** on em'.....They are screwing up the future of this country for my kids and I for one am sick of it,The many having to kow-tow to the beliefs of the few.......**** em'

Speaking from my own personal experience... My father came here without speaking a word of English. Kids laughed at him until he started picking up bits and pieces. He worked in the steel mills up north, and worked towards becoming a US citizen (He came her with his parents). My father eventually earned his citizenship LEGALLY, served in the Army, then started his own businesses in Real Estate and Optical stores. My father came from Greece, and he refused to teach my sister and I Greek because this was America, and English was the common language here. I had trouble communicating with my grandparents because they spoke only a little English, (Who my father also financially supported as time went on so they were not milking the system either).

My father worked much harder than those who come her and demand they should be citizens because they work illegally as day laborers. My father never once doubted his resppnsability to this country, and he never forgot how to give back to the community instead of feeding of it.

As I mentioned, this is my own experience, so my view is all those people who have the time to protest and look for weays to cheat the system, go through the legal process and do it right or get the f%$# out.

The protesting immigrants will see tomorrow that this country will not shut down, and they will do little more than lose a day's pay for it. I hope the Immigration officials are out in full force with all o f the buses in this country so they can wrangle up the illegals and take them through the LEGAL process to become citizen's. Breaking the law is not their right!

I do sympathize with the illegal immigrants, and there are legal ways to get citizenship. Whay do they think they are too good to do what the rest of the illegal immigrants do to gain citizenship and just expect it to be handed to them?!?

Absolutely! But it drives me nuts that all they want to do is change things here like the language instead of being a citizen and embracing the language here....theyre all lazy and want everything for nothing and teach their children to do the same who now become citizens through the backdoor...just like the way they came into this country while otheres go through years of struggle to become a citizen and celebrate that fact! Guys, no need to get personal. MY point on the English was that my father didn't even speak English when he came here, yet he, as an immigrant, did feel it was more important for him to become "American" than to push his native language and congregate with only those who spoke a common language.

Reading the new this morning, organizers of the protest are expecting "10's of millions" to protest. Here is where attitudes start showing... there are 11 million illegals in the country. Many of them will not protest for fear of getting caught. So I guess this is becoming less of an immigration issue, and more of an Hispanic cause...

Some of my family came to America before there were states, we clamed land, there is a town named after us, there is a street named after us. All I can say is that, when I break the law I go to jail! I am not a racist, my oldest daughter had a woderfull baby girl (that I adore) from an illegal Mexican. He hit her, she called the cops and he was deported,... he ruturned within two months. Something needs to be done!

Thats a good point, here in Seattle they are having a silent march to honor the Mexicans who have died trying to cross into the US. There are expected to be 20 to 30 thousand.

Sounds like two seperate issues to me.

My sister also had a problem with an abusive husband and nothing was done. An aquantance from high school shot his girlfriend after she begged for months for the authorities to do something about him. She died driving herself to the hospital. All involved where national born US citizens.

It took my sister's husband MUCH less than two months to get out of jail every time he was nabbed. I think the other guy probably spent a year or two in prison though I don't really know.

So, are you saying something should be done about people that abuse their wives and girlfriends or are we just going to go after "illegals" and hope the other, real problems just magically go away?

what should be done is: send any and all illigals away, if they want the same rights as citizens they should become citizens, I couldn't get a job in my city, I didn't know why? so I started working in another state, a couple of weeks later our local Wal-Mart had laid off 55 illigal workers!

They are taking our jobs, our money, our homes, all of which they DO NOT deserve and they think because they "protest" it will hurt US! **** NO! I say this is a great chance for us to get them all in one big mass and ship their ****in asses out! let them come back and try to become a REAL CITIZAN! and they'll really see that living here ISN'T THE GREATEST and then they can return to there shacks and there 17 kids in filty Mexico, PR, DR or wherver else their make-shift boat floated here from!

You seem to be taking this very pesonal, are you Illegal? here is what I am saying.......I love my country! I love the mix of people we have, thats one of the greatist thing about America,.. I dont like the fact that in my town there are thousands of imagrants who have been deported and can not get their green card for twenty or more years because they got busted for trying to beat the system first, BUT THEY STILL LIVE HERE! This is illegal, do you think the laws are Just for us?
