Van Halen is doing Rock Star II.
David Lee Roth is reporting on his show that VH will be the band for the upcoming season of Rock Star. Rock Star is the show that INXS used to find new singer JD Fortune.
Personally....I am sick over this. This is the final nail...not nail...RAIL ROAD SPIKE into a once proud bands coffin.
Dave is obviously very upset by this. He just said that "Hey, I call every year..2 or 3 times a year and all I"m asking for is a 3-4 month tour"
This is friggin incredible....
Way to go Ed....you've finally done it..... VAN HALEN is DEAD!

No Mondo....VH's management denied it last year. They were asked again this week and DID NOT deny it.
Roth talked this morning like it was a done deal.

It would be cool to hear VH songs in primetime though. I'd rather see Roth too but gave up on that long ago

If this is true - and I think it's a REALLY big if - I'm done with Van Halen. I just about .
I still have a hard time believing this is true as DLR doesn't exactly have his fingertip on the pulse of all that is Van Halen.

If true, it sucks that they would do that to Dave but you can bet I'll be glued to the screen every second. At least the music would be great. I can't imagine however that they would want to pick a singer that way?

I really don't know what to think of this, one one hand it would be really cool to see VH on TV every week and maybe Ed and Al just want to try and find some body new to sorta of reenergize the band but on the other hand another singer besides Dave or Sammy did not work last time, and I wonder what Mike will do, I mean he is tight with Sam I wonder what he thinks of all of this and speaking of Sam I wonder what he thinks of all this as well, I think I am gonna take a wait and see approach to this if it is evern true that is.

You had Roth on the phone ... ???
Now I'm confused !
I'd watch it, cuz Van Halen get fuck all coverage over here, and if it got that bastard touring again, I'd be all for it. Owt's better than nowt if you ask me !
Which you didn't...

As with anything else regarding =VH=, I'll believe it when I see it. We've seen so many rumors regarding the band over the last ten years, and the overwhelming majority of them have never materialized.
Considering Ed has appeared to have had such a problem with singers hogging the spotlight, I'd find it hard to believe that he would want to have the latest TV sensation becoming the new face of =VH= . Look at the idol status that JD Fortune has achieved with INXS - absolutley nothing wrong with it, but I can't see Ed wanting to play second fiddle to it.
Geez, imagine what it must be like for Roth to have to report this now that he is in radio work, especially if it is nothing more than a rumor building empty steam.
BTW, congrats for getting on air with dave, Carm. I bet your washing machine will be running on "skid removal cycle" tonight, huh? LOL

It's time to move on. Would it be best if they found a new lead singer another way? Yes.
Personally, I'd rather them get Gary back... No need to bring Dave back. He's not a rockstar anymore.
