I never really minded them at all...
So long as you've studied long enough and you understood it well enough the first time round, then they're not a problem to me.
Of course, you need that exam technique.
I always took loads of sweets in with me as sucking or chewing sweets helped me concentrate and calm me down...
I'd always read through the questions thoroughly so you've made sure you understand the question and not made a mistake and skimmed it and thus believed it to be asking what you want to believe it to be. Nothing worse than giving a great answer, but it doesn't match the question because you didn't read the question properly.
I never started actually writing in an exam (with the exception of multiple choice) for at least 20 minutes.
But even with multiple choice, I'd read the question two or three times first.
All about keeping calm and not making mistakes in those sort of conditions, and I find that being thorough on the question reading helps calm you down and helps you build of a solid understanding of the question so you won't make any mistakes.
So no, I don't mind exams at all...
Saying that, I do have a recurring dream where I have to resit my University exams or I'll lose my job, as you need to resit the same exams every five years to retain your current employment status and prove that you still have the same understanding of your trade.
Only thing is, no-one told me this, so I turn up for work one day and am redirected to the exam room. Everyone else knows about this fact though, and says how they are glad the exam ids hear now as they've been revising for months on end. I explain that no-one told me this fact, and get blank looks as though it is common knowledge and impossible to not know.
In that scenario, no, I would fucking hate exams !!!
