What a wierd day! I looked at one of my battles in Guitar Battle this morning and a guy who has given his name as Adrian Smith is interested in battling me. Then me and the wife and Sam go and do our weekly shop at our local Tesco's and who is there shopping? Adrian Smith!!![img]images/smilies/icon_confused.gif[/img]I really wanted to pluck up the nerve to say hello and ask if he'd do an interview but my wife said I'd look like a twat! [img]images/smilies/icon_redface.gif[/img] So, I leave it, we get back in the car and that song 'Teenage Dirtbag' comes on with the line 'I'm just a Teengae Dirtbag baby, Listen to Iron Maiden maybe'!!!! Might have been different if I didn't have Sam and Annie with me but I just thought it looked twat-ish to be asking him stuff while he was shopping. I figured if I said, 'here's a website, we'd like to do an interview with you' he'd say, yeah and think 'fuck that, thats work!' and not reply. I've always been none-phased by meeting 'stars' for want of a better word...they're just people and in the UK, we're pretty backward at coming forward if you catch my drift. The best thing is, tho' I'm not a great fan of Maiden, I have a HEEP of respect for them as I do anyone that sticks to their guns and keeps on doing what they do regardless of fashion...if I see him again, I might get the courage up; their persona is one of being down to earth and chatting with the public who put them there but we all have bad days...still funny set of statistics on one day tho!
