Zarqawi outtakes

The BBC recently reported on a US military release of outtakes that occured during the making of a propeganda film by terrorist Zarqawi. In these outtakes Zarqawi can't figure out how to unjam his gun and one of his subordinates trying to help him burns himself by grabbing the hot barrel.

Funny stuff...

Then I looked at the two pictures and now it has me wondering. At least three things stick out as odd. First, why is the second picture so blurry? Second, it is obviously in a completely different location...look at the background. Finally, where did his watch (or whatever it is) go? It also looks to me like the masked guy is purposfully standing out of the way of the camera, which seems an unlikely consideration given the situation.

Is the US military lying to try and discredit this guy? If so, damn that could really backfire...

Anyone know where the actual video is? I would like to see both. There are several possible explainations including that the footage is from different days...but that isn't how it is being described.

Makes you wonder...makes me wonder at least.

After hunting down the original video (the non-outtake version) it is the first photo that doesn't belong. It comes out of whatever the US released. The video Zarqawi released is all like the second photo (the part of him shooting anyway). It is also obvious from watching his facial expressions that he has little experience with the weapon.

It did seem like a really stupid thing for the US to do but in the world of propeganda sometimes stuff like that is done.

Frankly I don't know what I find more worrying, a seasoned warrior becomming a terrorist leader or some dude with no experience shooting guns becomming a terorrist leader...of course, from what I understand bin Laden doesn't know **** either, he's just rich.
