Just posted this on voa5150's site. Sharing it here, since I know not everyone goes/can go there. Maybe now somebody will re-up that Clarkston '93 show.
Anyway, this comes from the "Complete Two Nights" bootleg where it was paired with the London show from June 29, '79 (This site already has a copy of it, although I may upload mine for the hell of it). The show is unedited, as opposed to the London show from "Complete Two Nights", which was edited to fit onto one disc.
Quality-wise, this show is an above average, very good audience recording. The entire band comes through nice and clear, while the crowd noise is very limited. However, for whatever reason, music gets a bit skippy and jumpy, with what sounds like pops and cracks from an old vinyl record, starting about midway through the guitar solo. They come and go, but get
very annoying, to the point that the last few tracks from Disc 1 are almost unlistenable. However, Atomic Punk, as it was the first track on Disc 2, has none of their problems.
Performance-wise, the band is in top form, putting on a hell of a show. Track 7 (On Fire) has Dave's usual '79 intro into it. Track 11 (Feel Your Love Tonight) has the usual Fools and Romeo Delight teases, as well as the usual drum solo in the middle. You Really Got Me has assorted jams in the middle of the song, again, typical of the VH II tour. Finally, the last song, Atomic Punk, has an extended into lasting nearly 40 second and is one of the best performances of this song I've ever heard!
ENJOY!!
