1995 bootleg - \"Bazooka In Action\" 01/27

Ok guys... I was gonna leave all my other stuff up through the weekend and post some new stuff the first of the week... but I don't think I'm gonna have time to do it then. Work is the best time for me - Click Click work... wait a few...click cliks and so on. Unfortunately, sometimes you just come home for the weekend knowing there won't be time for click click on Monday.

Anyway, in short, all the other shows are DOWN, and the threads can be un-stuckied These include Magic Mountain, Covers Band..., Chicago 81, Live & Loud, and Gazzari's 74.

If anyone has missed any of these, just say something, and I'll figure out a way to get 'em to ya

Now... TO DA GOOD STUFF! I'm gonna finish off Got The Miracle Fingers tonight ... if everyone wants that one anyway... If you guys want something else, better open up your mouth now!! For now, enjoy another great 1995 recording. This boot was created from the 1995 Secret Gig that VH did at Luxor - Arnhem, Holland 1-27-95. I picked this one because I DO PAY ATTENTION to requests If I'm not mistaken, Toronto 95 ended up here because somebody wanted Sammy Soundboard stuff... Bazooka In Action is a great Soundboard recording of the Balance tour before it started!! They're still smoothing out the wrinkles - cool boot in my opinion. Check it out at VHBoots ! Ok guys, enjoy this short one... 9 Tracks, but pretty damn good! I truly believe that this boot matches the quality and performance calibur of the Rocks The Beer Hall boot... it might even be a little better. Of course, the con is that there are only 9 tracks here. But Ed is TIGHT... listen to Feelin' and Amsterdam... But he didn't do the extended Feelin' solo like he does in the Toronto boot.

PS: This is the trip that yielded the video for "Amsterdam," for those of you who wouldn't have figured it out

First track is The Seventh Seal

Ya know, the Balance and OU812 tours used to be my favs because of how clean the band sounded, but now I find it hard to listen to those tours. I like the dirtyness sound of the 1984 tour, or Fair Warning, and FUCK. It's that stuff that I love the most for some reason because rock and roll aint supposed to be perfect IMO. This is a great show though no doubt, but I find it hard to listen to shows from this tour anymore. Just a phaze i'm in right now I guess.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that I find it DIFFICULT to listen to the newer stuff But I know exactly what you're talking about. There is NO DOUBT that we're dealing with two entirely different bands here... towards the end of the Dave era, they had the best of both worlds (no relation to the catch-title/phrase). They were crazy, raw, and sloppy at times, but still skilled and tight enough to pull it all together. Like Ed describes it - "falling down the stairs and trying to land on your feet". Shows from that era hold and energy that none since have... But the newer shows have a lot to offer as well... I suppose it all depends on what mood you are in. For the past 3 weeks, I have been driving around listening to Unchained Monsters (gary) and The 2cd Balance Boot from japan. Then, yesterday, I took them both out to grab new ones... but this time I needed that raw, crazy, Halen. So I grabbed up Strike While The Iron's Hot from 1976, and Civic Pride from 1977. Now I'm listening to those... but eventually, they'll get too loose and sloppy for me, and I'll go back to that tight-ass sound of 85-88 or 95.

I did want to post this show though, cuz we've been real Dave friendly as of late I love Dave, but like many overbearing things in life, small doses is best for me

Even if you're not in the newer VH mood, I hope you like this one. It's a short boot, but I think it's pretty good.

Dont get me wrong this boot rocks cause I'm listenin to it right now. But I think it's all based on mood for me. Even in my guitar playing, I've been playin more Dave era stuff over the last two weeks. But then they'll be weeks where I dont even reach for the Dave stuff and it'll all be about Sam. This boot right here rocks though. I wish they played Big Fat Money though cause that's one of my favs off of that tour.
