And here we have a rare jem of a show from the Japan leg of the OU812 tour!
Sound wise, this is a pretty good audience recording. The crowd is present at various points (When songs start and whatnot), but it's not an issue. The band comes through fairly well, but this is a boot that seriously needs to be played loud to really hear it right.
Performance wise, this is one hell of a show. The usual elements of the OU812 tour are present, such as the short version of Runnin' With The Devil, Cabo Wabo, Finish What Ya Started and whatnot, all done extremely well. Eddie is in fine form, playing mind-blowing versions of Cathedral and the Mean Street intro during his solo. One of the best parts is the start of the encore; the band does one of their usual jam riffs (Heard in various places, like the first disc of the Merrie Melodies Unreleased set) while Sammy sings along with the lyrics of Young Man Blues before going into You Really Got Me, which contains a jam that mixes It's Only Rock And Roll and a Pleasure Dome jam. However, much to my annoyance, at the end of the jam and before they go into YRGM, the tracks skip a bit and so the opening few seconds of YRGM were lost when I ripped it. It's not much, but it's pretty obvious. Also, Alex is a bit off during Rock And Roll...
