Back to this particular boot, the SA tour is probably my favorite of them all. A few oddballs (Heartbreak Hotel, Beer Drinkers), a few tunes unusual for the Diver Down Tour (Mean Street) and those whacky spanish Ice Cream Man intros!
On a side note, I have this show on video (well, parts of it - I dont think the full show exists) and its actually Ed playing the entire Ice Cream Man. Dave was having technical difficulties so Ed had to play the "intro" so Dave didn't do his trademark "Ode to (insert city here)" song. I believe this was the first show in SA.
I have this on video as well.
Sao Paulo is my favorite SA video and probably my favorite set. In terms of video/sound quality and band performance I have to go with the Largo, MD 1982 DVD.
What is the riff Eddie plays during the break of SGMD. I've heard it a few times. It's the first riff right after the solo from SGMD. Is it a know song or just something he likes throw in there?
I'll have to give it a listen tonight Zakk to see what you're talkin bout. I know that Ed has a ton of signature riffs that he likes to use from time to time. All of em sound bad ass of course.

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde
