This one here is very special to me. It's the very first bootleg I ever had in my collection. I guess this is the one that created the monster!
Not knowing what a bootleg would sound like, I thought it would be crystal clear just like the other cd's. WRONGO! I actually purchased this one thinking that Unchained was the same version I had seen on VH1. That of course is incorrect and I was crushed. I felt ripped off cause the sound wasn't as good as the studio albums, and basically didn't listen to this for awhile. Then the more I got into VH, the more I appreciated this concert and understood what it represented.
So here ya have it. CLASSIC Van Halen live on the 1984 tour.

Oh. My. Gawd! This is awesome Sucka! This is the first VH concert that I took my wife too. Future wife actually, 'cause we were only dating at time. It was during this solo of Ed's (the part where he flips down that plexi-glass thing and plays the guitar with both hands on the strings side) that she leans over and whispers in my ear, "I get it. I finally get it." Meaning, she never quite understood why I, and the crew of 30 that were with us, were such a fanatics. One live show over 20 years ago and she's been a loyal fan ever since. Left the kids at home and took her to the '04 reunion tour. 12th row. Ed's side.

hey "Brick", dude I bet you guys were disapointed in 04' because of how bad ed played. I know many people that went to that tour and none of them said anything positive. But I bet 84' was like the best night ever. I Wish I was around back then.
