Do you have the Japan 89 show by the way? I know alot of folks here do, but some of you new guys might not. If not just let me know and I'll put it back up here.

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde
I've always been a fan of this show...simply cause it's a rare spot to get sammy singing "runnin with the devil" which he didnt do very much...

I'll have to check. I know I have audio from a Japan show in 89, but I've never even listened to it because I have the video. If it's different then I'll put it up here.

Well if I didn't have an audience I wouldn't be able to put these shows up. So I say to you all

Hey men this show has ben a great part of the Hystori of VH Because ""SAMY IS SINGING RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL AND DOES WELL""
I EXPECT EXIST MORE SHOWS WHIT SONG VERY DIFICULT TO HEAR SING WITH HAGAR OF THE ROTH ERA THANKS
For all of you Van Halen freaks out there, this one is, to me anyway, a must have! It's simply incredible! Ask Sucka, they were so "on" in this show!!! It kicks major, major ass!
Hey Sucka, I love hearing Eddie trying to hit "SUCKAAAAA" too! Man, he sure was strainin'!!!!!
Sucka, this Pittsburgh show sounds like a great audience recording. I know there are a couple of those Japan 89' shows floating around that all came from the video source. But, do you know if any Monsters of Rock Van Halen soundboard shows are floating around? To me, they were at their performance pinnacle on that tour. I'd love to get my greedy little paws on a soundboard boot from that tour! Many thanks for all your posts my brotha!
Thanks a lot, these shows bring back memories.I was wondering if anyone has the Spokane show from this tour (I went) and also the Metallica set .They absolutely SLAYED at that show and I was an instant convert.I remember a photographer went up on Lars riser snapping pics and Kirk came up from behind and yanked the guys pants down, he quickly dropped is camera and pulled them back up.It was freakin hilarious!! AND Kirk didnt miss a note.Or James saying "hi" and waving in the breaks in Creeping Death. They never came close to that level of tightness , power and easygoing humour again. I will pay money if anyone has a copy.

There are quite a few MOR shows out there, all audience but most pretty good. An audienece recording when its Outdoors is better (less echo & stuff). There are a few Japan shows as well. For whatever reason, the post MOR North American Arena tour in 1988 is the most difficult show to get. There is not 1 video and a handful of audios, mostly crappy audience recordings. Odd that is the only tour like that as far as bootlegs go.

Eric, do you have any more MOR shows? I have this one and Rock Express (5/28/88, West Troy), along w/ Got The Miracle Fingers (2/1/89 Tokyo) and AFU (Osaka, 1/25/89). I would LOVE at least two more MOR shows, do you have any? If you do, that would be great! Id love to get my hands on mp3's or .wavs of those somehow!
I have a few MOR shows besides the one you mention. Lets see: Foxboro, Philly, Giants Stadium but they are all on cassette. I know Miami & Buffalo I have on a video tape somewhere, but they are all audience and haven't been converted to DVD or CD.
It sucks; Outside of Japan, there really isn't a good quality OU812 show.
