On the last one notice how Sammy hums out a line for them to play, the Dave Clark Five thing and Eddie just thows a little solo work on it and it totally kicks ass. IMO this is Ed's real genius, he just has a natural ability to play really tasty stuff over whatever you throw at him. He did the same thing on Lettermen and SNL when they would wing stuff going into commercials, he's just very gifted.
