Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
This is much better quality than the copies I've found. Did you sweeten this version up a bit?

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
you know, I have actually heard what was dubbed "the finished version" of that song where a few effects and a little better background vocals were added and I have to say that VH3 may have been saved by that song. The other version was on par with "Dreams" and "Why Cant This Be Love"... it was that good I thought. I dont know why it was pulled other then hearing a rumor that the song started as something called "Blood from a Stone" which they worked on with Dave from the greatest hits session. Wouldn't it be sad if Dave threw a fit and VH pulled it to avoid haveing to deal with Dave???

I actually have Blood From A Stone somewhere at home, but I dont think the version I have is Van Halen. I'll see if I can find the damn thing.
And no VanMan I didn't sweeten this version up, but it is the best version that I have. Dont even remember where I got it from, but I've always loved the quality.

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
I got Blood From A Stone off of Kazaa, only to find that it was Waited For The Punchline from Extreme...

Pissed me off no-end !!!
I will check out this version to see if it as good as the quality that I have. I think I downloaded mine from the Down In Flames website...

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
I got the same thing, but then I got an instrumental that was said to be Blood From A Stone. I do believe that it's false though and it's from some movie soundtrack. Atleast that's what I remember somebody saying.

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
Oh yeah, I vaguely remember this as well. Sorry, my mind get's clouded, cuz when I think Kazaa, I think "free porn movies", and my mind kinda wanders...
...sorry, what were you saying ?

Oh yeah, Blood From A Stone. You're right, I think I did get the instrumental as well. And you may be right, it could be a soundtrack. It didn't seem to have much of a song structure, but thinking about it now, it probably did have that movie track feel and presence and structure about it.
I will see if I can find it, maybe it's lying around between my Bigboobs movies and BonkingBetty movies, if it's alphabetically listed...

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
LOL, well I'm pretty sure I got rid of it once I found out it wasn't them. I would love to get my hands on the sessions they for the follow up to VH3.

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
Are they actually out and about, or are you just wishful thinking ? i.e. they're still locked up in 5150 somewhere... ?
I mean, I would love them to somehow leak out of 5150, but I didn't think that they had done...

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
They are probably locked up tighter then a virgin my friend. I do remember reading about some of the songs and it really sounded like it was gonna be bad ass.

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
Ah, bugger, I thought it was just you hoping and wishing out loud.
Yeah, I remember Brad saying on the official site that one of the songs had an opening tapping sequence that sounded like "An Alien On Acid"
I was looking forward to hearing that.
Still, Brad will be on every tour. All you need is to get yourself a bad haircut, and paint yourself blue from top to bottom (remember his Pleasure Dome avatar). Then you can mug him, and hide him away.
Masquerade as Brad for a bit by just nodding and saying yes to the band a lot. Then just say that you're just going in 5150 to do some more dusting for the guys.
Then it shouldn't take you long to find the stuff you're after. It'll be in the stuff after VH3 and before "3 New Songs"
You're seeing them soon aren't you Sucka ? Go get some blue paint, you already have the bad haircut !

Re: Thats Why I Love Ya
LOL, only one problem. Brad is white! My ass is black and about 250lbs. There's no way they're gonna think I'm him. Not without drinkin a few beers first!
I do remember that song you're talkin bout. The one I remember reading was called Left For Dead. That one was supposed to be a real fast tune, and I believe Tribe Of Judah went on to record a version of it.
I had the print out saved with all the songs and descriptions on there. I'll see if I can find it.
