I was told that this in fact is NOT Van Halen. It's from a movie soundtrack or something like that. I've had this track ever since 1999, and I was told back then that it's not Halen. I forget who it is, but I swear I was told it's from a movie soundtrack.

Dude, that sucks. I've had that happen to me... around the middle of the Balance tour I found an instrumental that truly sounded like it could have been VH... I could also understand the possibility of extra instrumental stuff being cut as Balance was already heavy on that stuff. I was convinced for about a month until I found out that it was a demo written by some random band that was trying to match up with a singer somewhere.
