Van Halen, Live in Cabo Wabo 1992
Here's one of those rare club shows from the 90's performed by our boys. Not a very long set list, but the show is pretty damn good I think. It's ashame that Cabo Wabo has been left off the set list since back then because that is one kick ass tune right there. I'm gonna try and get this entire show up before I hit the bed, but if not they'll be more to come. Also I'll have up, Kansas City 04, and Montreal 84 on friday night, so make sure you stop by and grab those.

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde

Haha, you weren't even done posting yet. Thanks again, for all the boots! I'm looking forward to the KC '04 too...I think I have fifteen or sixteen boots from this tour right now and I'm always looking for more!

Sheesh, 15 or 16 huh? You've got me beat by a mile! I've limited myself because I know I'll get tired of listening to this set list if I have that number of boots laying around. I think I have like 7 shows, if that. I do plan on getting a few more though, like the ones I attended and I'll most likely stop there.

I just counted, and it's fifteen including a few I have downloaded as MP3 format from this site. I just figure I will get all of them that I can, because they won't be on the Internet forever.

Thanks for this show Sucka. I grabbed my trusty VH Encyclopedia and found out that this is from the second anniversary of the club, on 5/21/92. It was VH's second and last performance there.
As for the 2004 tour, I have 17 boots and can't wait to hear KC.

Awesome show. Thanks. I am a Dave fan, but I love Top of the Woirld, BOBW and of course Cabo Wabo. Sammy did a good job replacing Dave. I dont think anybody else could have and would have been so accepted by the fans. I was pissed Dave left, but I can remember buying 5150 and being excited. Summer nights rocked!!!!

I'm actually tired of Top Of The World, but on this current tour it is pretty rocking. Cabo Wabo flat out rocks, and I never get tired of Best Of Both Worlds. This show here is pretty sweet to have, although I do wish I could have sweetned up the sound a bit.

That should be ok. I don't really burn cd's anymore, so I wouldn't know of any other advances that they might have made. I actually haven't burnt a cd since June I think when I did the Greensboro show for a guy on here. Usually I just download, and burn to cd using Apdec cd coper I think it's called. Whatever it is, it came stock with my old ass computer and hasn't let me down yet.

This was one of the last shows of the f*ck tour, about a week or so after they recorded LRHRN so they were pretty well tuned by then. Originally, it was planned as a regular set, but there were way too many people so they had to shut 'er down after about an hour.
I actually have this show on video (one camera shot) and you can see its jammed. Anyone who has been to the Cantina knows its not that big and they actually advertised that VH was playing so the crowd got ridiculous. I have an int from Sammy from like 93 or so and he mentions how this show was the most crowded the place was and that VH would most likely never play there again becuz of that (it was before Sam bought them out).
One last tidbit as a follow up to an earlier post, VH played at the opening in April 1990 and this show as the only 2 times VH played Cabo Wabo.
