Van Halen live in Japan, 1998
Now I know Van Halen 3 isn't the most popular album by any stretch, but the VH3 tour however was one bad ass extravaganza! What a set list our boys came up with, and one can only wonder why they haven't mixed things up like that before, and after that tour. Gary IMHO was a very good frontman for the mighty VH, but his time in the band was cut short because of a number of things, but mostly because he wasn't Sam or Dave.
Now here's one bad ass show from the VH3 tour performed in Japan, where VH always kicks ass by the way. You've got a rare tune like Jamie's Cryin being performed by VH for the first time in over 20yrs!! Not to mention solid tracks from the Van Cherone album like, Dirty Water Dog, Without You, Fire In The Hole and One I Want. I know you boys are gonna dig this one right here. Enjoy.

Far as I’m concerned, Eddie’s the complete package. Technique aside, his rhythm playing, feel, songwriting, tone, riffs, leads, man, it’s all there. It’s like the best-tasting beer you ever drank in your life! ~Zakk Wylde

Thanks sucka, I'm looking forward to this one. I agree that the VH3 tour had one heck of a setlist.

It's a good one Kudo, but I just realized that I don't have all the tracks. I think I'm missing Ed's solo, A Year To The Day, and Romeo Delight I think. I'm sure Chad will be along soon, and see what tracks I have missing.

That's all for now folks. If I can find the missing tracks I'll post them, but I have no idea where they are.

This IS a killer show. I never gave Gary much credit but it sounded great. Too bad about the missing tracks.

Missing tracks or not, this is a show worth having. So Cherone isn't DLR. Neither is DLR anymore!
Thanks Sucka!

This is the set titled "Wolfgang Attack," right? If so, I have it. I can post the missing songs this coming weekend.

Great recording...
and show. Definitely the best set list in a long time. However, I have two complaints. #1, I have a consistant clap coming from my right speaker during most songs (annoying) and #2, Gary Cherone . Other then that this is awesome, big time thank you!

Damn, guys. I found the first disk, but I can't find the second Hopefully I will, because it is a killer show. If/when I do, I promise to post the missing songs.
