This one goes out to all my PA boyeez up in here! I live in Ohio, but Starlake Ampitheater (Pitt. Post Gazette now) and 3 rivers are my two main concert venues... This show was the second ever
Van Halen concert that I attended. I was 10 years old, and thank God I had a very responsible sister who was 7 years older than me. My parents let her take me to this show, and DAMN!!! Talk about making a musical impression... I was hooked. My parents had taken her to see a show from the 5150 tour two years earlier, and took me, as well... I was 8 years old for that one and (as embarassed as I am to say it), I just wasn't interested yet...I didn't appreciate it. But two years later, when I was 10, this show did me in for life.
This disc has been in CONSTANT rotation in my car for a couple of years now, and if you dig Sammy era VH, I HIGHLY recommend you do the same. This show kicks more ass than an angry Bruce Lee high on angel dust
