1st Entry oohhh err missus SRV
This is an attempt to sound like SRV. I must admit I haven't listened to him a lot in the past but recently I did and his stuff is fantastic and he has a great voice also. I borrowed this backing track from somewhere in here so here it is anyway.

Nice playing phil...maybe a bit OTT for SRV in some places but great playing-kinda Jeff Healey (which is meant with HUGE praise as I think the guy is great!) Are you in a band in the NE that I would know about? Or would I know you from Smoult the Bolt's site, Riffs?

I am in a club band called Tokyo. Arty is a friend of the band and that is how I stumbled on this site. Yeah a bit OTT but I haven't listened to SRV long enough to analyse his style but he was damn good.

nice.. very fluid tone and playing.. the tone is not really like srv but its unique and cool in its own way,. i love that tone hehehhe.. the expressive playing is really reminiscent of srv.. overall great job man!! had a blast listening to this !! good job.

Re: 1st Entry oohhh err missus SRV
Thanks people. I've had a listen to the other SRV tracks here and have to say they are class. I have to admit mine is not as close as the others in terms of sounding like him but I am only a newbie to SRV. I will comment on the other tracks when I have a bit time to listen to them all properly but they are all winners.

Enjoyed this one ! Its cool gettin to hear everyones intrepretation .... nothing wrong with adding your own style to it too ! I mean honestly I dunno if anyone could duplicate SRV totally and would any of us want to ??? Gotta have a bit of yourself in there also !
