Lovely, nice work. You do not attempt to be the clone of Eddie. Your own stylle comes through. Tone is thick. VEry nice Tremolo picking at end
What gear did you use, how did you record it etc

Hey Mac, Thanks for checking it out, Nice to hear that my own style comes out, something I like to hear. I tried to get a similar tone with the humble little rig I have, which is a Zoom G2.1u, I programmed the preset myself using a Peavey 5150 amp model and some FX, the Zoom plugs direct into my PC with USB and I recorded it with Cubase LE (which comes with the Zoom) all basic stuff nothing fancy.
Cheers mate.

ScaleMaster & Mac, Thanks lads for the kind words and checking it out. It's not too hard if you tackle it with the knowledge that your gonna sound like you and not EVH, getting the vibe and feel is the main thing. If you go out trying to get every little detail and tone etc then I think that is very hard (for me at least).
There is instruction on how to play this solo here :
http://www.ibreathemusic.com/article/16
The guy doing this is Eric Vandenburg, listen to his solo, he says that he did this solo with added reverb and delay but what he did was find the actual MP3 of EVH's solo (which if you look you can find the solo isolated withhout the backing cause I found it also!!!) and added a bit of reverb & delay plugin fx and passed it off as his own, It matches up perfectly note for note, every detail the lot to the original. Its even at the correct pitch as the orginal, where as if you play along with the original, its not in standard tuning. Don't know who he's trying to fool !!!.The guys an F'ing Cheat...

Hey GP, thanks for listening, you probably realised that you've listened to this before and commented in the covers section, but thought seeing as this month was a solo competition I'd submit this, hope that's o.k.
Cheers mate.
