This is a lot harder than I expected.....

In fact I like all three pieces. Great playing.

I first listened to gss882000. Everything was there to make it a great song. The band was all around it and it had almost everything you search in a good song. Chordwork, riffs, fills, tempo-changes, dynamics, songstructure, great singer btw, guitar-solo fits nice into it.
In short: great song.

Second listening to Stiglar. Very fresh (and soapy) background, but enough changes. Nice walking bass. Good panorama things. Production slipped a little bit around 0:55-0:56 where you hear the overdrive noise of the upcoming leadguitar. This could be wiped away. Nice two guitar part at 3:16-3:22. Ending is a little abrupt, but acceptable....

Last listening to wahwah. On a very steady background which almost sounds like an endless road you are driving on he keeps me listening to the last bit. And that was a VERY abrupt ending. Absolutely fabulous playing. In the beginning I needed to accept the sound of the lead guitar. For my ears not the nicest distortion, but after 10 seconds I could absolutely dig the sound. Around 1:16 you can hear that some electromagnet gets the pickup of the guitar. Probably a CRT-screen of a computer, but I could be wrong. That was almost the only thing I could find productionwise, together with the abrupt ending.....


You would think that I already know where I should vote on. But that's not the case. Each of the three did a wonderful job on their own kind of music and I think this voting isn't the right way.
You only can vote for one "winner", but then the other two are left with nothing....
I'd rather give 3, 2 and 1 point, so no-one would be left with nothing. And even then it is difficult to place them in such an order, but I think it is more justifyable in my mind to give each one something.....

I'm gonna post this review first and I still don't know which one is the "winner" to me......

Well, we'll see. I still got about 1 day to make up my mind......
