June Entry - Golden Gate Song
Lots of great stuff this month to choose from! Anyway, I wrote this song based on a conversation I overheard from a group of people who were throwing a wreath into San Francisco Bay. I used to walk my dog in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge every day, and saw these somber gatherings every week or so. Happily, I'm living in New Jersey now!

THIS IS FANTASTIC!
Strat - this is the first vocal original I have heard from you. This is fantastic mate - in one song you have destroyed me here, I wish I could get one song as pure and as complete as this.
The scary thing is how much it sounds like Richard Hawley, who I absolutely love. You even have a similar baritone vocal style.
Anyway what I am trying to say is ... this is fucking amazing!!!
do me a favour please, if you have a higher bitrate version of this can you please send it to lawmansunley@hotmail.com thanks

Oh yeah, Me loves this one too Beautiful arrangements in there, strings, voice choruses (which also sounded very pleasent, dude, very nice singing), even a little bit of sitar? And everything just blended in a very calm and pretty way! Hey, I´d love to listen to more originals like this! 5 here!

Nice and smooth. Very mellow. However, the best part, hands down, is that little string bend at the end, the very last note. I love how it hangs....
Good luck.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.

You'd RATHER live in New Jersey? Heheh, ok whatever! (j/k)
This is a real pretty song ya did Strat78 - very soft and melodic. Very nicely done. I love all the guitar type stuff you had going on in the background too. Like the country type bend near the end of the track. That was tasty.

Brilliant entry here! Great vocals, kinda caught me by surprise as I was expecting something instrumental.
Just a very well composed, put together and performed song. Very solid.

I've actually listened a bit to XTC, since I heard Primus' cover of "making plans for nigel".

Damn Strat!!! This is soooo nice!!!!! You have a great voice, maybe the higher part of the song is not the composition itself (wich is pretty good too) but the way the voice add calm to the listener. Its scary, you are a great guitarist and , and, and,....also a killer singer. 5 Balls, an entry to look out
