Theme for June 2006 MP3 of the month contest!
Hi guys! I'm your new mod and this will be the first mp3 of the month competition I'll run.
As you can see in this thread, this will be an acoustic month.
Don't worry if you don't have an acoustic guitar, it's ok to use an acoustic sounding elecric tone as well.
Cover or original doesnt matter, anything goes. Electric bass is fine too, as long as it's not very elecric sounded with lots of distortion or something like that.
So start getting those entries in!
Good Luck everyone!

Yeah, I'm in on this month. I worked on my song late april, early may. More details when I post it.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.

yes, ofcourse vocals and drums are ok, and there are no restrictions for how long the tune can be.

Yeah, no problem. You can make the production how big you want, full orchestra and all of that. As long as its acoustic

Does it have to be ALL acoustic, or can we put a little electric solo in somewhere?

Can i use an acoustic with Nylon strings ? If its so, i would love to post a classical guitar piece i recorded for a promotional CD here. I mean, its acoustic play isnt it? And there is not a single contest month about classical guitar...so i think ill just found my spot here.

I'm not the official MOD of this forum, but I am guessing that a classical guitar would be fine since it is an accoustic guitar in essence. Ya don't plug it in do ya?
