OH MY GOD!. Some of the talent in this months comp is astounding. The tracks are all the toppest of the top banana. Some stand out tracks for me in perticualr were the monsters theme, Summon Master, and Silent Hill. I adore the work of Akira Yamaoka, he's one of my favorites. I don't think 1 of these tracks were not great in some way. Either a great cover, or a great original, a great recording or a great feel. All of these had something great.
That said there must be 1 that for ME said something to ME as a listener. And on that merrit i'll have to go for The Summon Master. Great recording, great ambience and great arrangment...
Well done for everyone on there tracks, i'm so glad i'm not up against any of you...

Aarrgh! Was not an easy choice to make what with all the top quality entries and performances, I wish I could have voted for everyone
In the end I went with Billion Dollar Babies(Wahwah and JPF)
If you ignore Alices' dodgy Desmond Child's era, he's wrote more that truly captures the camp/horror vibe of halloween than any other band(bar the Misfits or The Damned) heck he even had Vincent Price on one of his albums!!! I found this version damn well played and recorded, and not enough people play Alice Cooper songs! Shame on you all
Sorry to the rest of the guys who I couldn't vote for, I did find this very difficult to choose. Again well done to everyone

I've got to go with Mr. Riguez this month. i don't think i've heard that solo played that well, ever. if mr. rhoads was still kickin around i would hope he would sound as polished and intricately unique.
the production of the track was excellent as well...and he sings on top of being a total ax-wielding monster!!

Just to clarify this for me, Jake E Lee wrote and recorded this song originally? I think it is one of the most classic guitar riffs ever. By the way, I'm about 2/3 up to speed on it so far but it is still difficult to keep that open A note tight.

Yep, Jake wrote this song. The first time I heard it, and before I was a hardcore ozzy fan, I thought it was Zakk, because of the solo, and the pinch harmonics. About the A string, use a metronme and palm mute it. Thats the best advice I could give to nail the riff. Take it extra slow, it'll make you feel stupid, but will help you alot in the long run.

But then again, if Rhoads was still alive, Jake wouldn't have written this song. But, by 1982, Rhoads wanted to leave ozzy to recieve more education on the classical guitar, so maybe Jake would have written this song with ozzy anyway. We will never know.
By the way, I think we can end the polls. It looks like we have a winner . Congrats to Jaime, you deserve the win, how many does that make it ? Excellent Job, you more than did the song justice.
