WAHWAH November Entry "Stevie's Dream"
I think this is the first song where I've pretty much done the lot so I thought I'd try it in the contest. I just got a Behringer V-Amp Bass Pro so I put down something with the bass and the drumtrack was created with Acid Pro...slow getting going with Acid but it's a great program when you get the hang of it.
Guitars done using a setting called 'Stevie's Haze' or something on the PODxt so I called it 'Stevie's Dream'. I just brought the gain up slightly as the song got further on and I also added a modulation effect to give it a bit of a "lesley" feel. I think this is probably the most laid back song I've posted so no idea how it'll do. Very mellow and a lot of satisfaction doing it.

This is one of the best piece I have heard from you in terms of tone and cool playing. I might just have to give you my vote for this because it's different and not trying to get the vote by speed and technique.
Also the production is totally amazing. How did you do the drums exactly, they sound so good?

Hi mate...the drums were done some time ago using samples from Acid Pro...obviously, with that program, the track is only as good as the samples used but I got 1,000's of them now and for the most part, they are all good. Let me know if you want some and I'll sort it for ya. The production sounds clean because of the lack of distorted instruments and I suppose, the very low bass sound I used makes it fill up all the spaces.

Man WahWah, that was sweet. I wish I could play like that.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.
