Question

what happened to the comps?

Whatever happened to the competitions thread? Has it died a lonely death? Is there no-one moderating this forum anymore?

Thanks for the info, at least this post lets us know. Frankly, the mp3 monthly contest is one of the biggest things that "drove" me in my recording. I need it back, even if I never won.

Can't wait.

Me, I like guitar. I like loud squeals and pinch harmonics that only dogs can hear, tapping that would redefine what Fred Astaire popularized, sweeping that would make a janitor jealous, and most importantly great melodic HOOKS (like the greatest hook writers of all time Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). Singing is not a requirement.

Ditto to that - i was at my most prolific from around this time last year to around november or so!!!! ... i think i managed 4 entries ... i still think the feb comp should go to the vote ... i could be in with a chance!!!!

maybe if we can generate enough interest into bringing the monthly comps back then it will make it worth the effort....
I would love to see where there are many entries again and voters showing up to listen...and vote.....
I think it is going to have to be something that we can convince the admin that this isn't going to be another flash then everyone just disappears...
I for one will help out in any form, by entering, voting, helping a mod set it all up, donating some new backers, and trying to see if there is anyone interested in firing up the monthy compititions again...
so if you are or might be interested...let em know....
