Anyone has any information on this guy's whereabouts?
He was a great shredder with whitesnake, with a great sense of melody.

My guess is currently residing in the, "Where is he now?" file.

Actually, I have no earthly idea. According to a google search I did, some people claim he was in a car accident a couple of years ago and injured his neck to the point where he can no longer play the guitar. Sounds like rubbish to me, but it was on the internet so it has to be true.

Adje van den Berg was dutch pride in the early 80s. He released 3 album with his band "Vandenberg", before he joined Whitesnake.

In 2002 he was a guest musician on an album called "Attacks when provoked" (More (dutch) info: http://www.popinstituut.nl/index.htm?dat/index.htm?6435 ).

It is hard to find some info about his current activities.

The last thing I found on dutch website pages is that he now lives in the Netherlands and has a company who releases music (bad translation of "muziekuitgeverij").

In 2004, Vandenberg released a CD set with old songs, some live songs and demos and a new version of Burning Heart. I didn't get it myself cuz I have all those recordings with the exception of the new Burning Heart.

I read that after having problems with his wrists he's gone back to his other love of painting for the time being (he painted all of his solo band's album covers) and gets as much acclaim in the art world from that as he ever did from guitar playing. On his website he does say tho' that he'll jump at the chance when he gets 'that call' from Coverdale again.

If I remember right he injured his wrist trying to do wrist exercises,something about wrist stretching and the whole Pagiani thing of the time.It seems since that he has continued with the problems...that is one thing a guitarist can't live with...
