Re: awesome 12 year old guitar player
Either way I think he sounds great, especially for his age. He's got a lot of Vai and Johnson influence in his playing.

Re: awesome 12 year old guitar player
Jeez! Give the kid a chance, man!
It makes me feel good that for once, there's a kid who cares about actually playing the instrument, and isn't looking like all other fucking snot rags we see pretending to play guitar like in (insert pop punk band name here..)
Try this one on for size!

Re: awesome 12 year old guitar player
well i was pretty impressed !
to be honest i didn't like the actual songs that much but theres no denying that kid has some serious technique.
theres no way you can listen to that first song Fridas dilema or whatever with all those tempo changes he makes at that speed and say he has crappy technique , that is really hard to do shows great control over his picking

Re: awesome 12 year old guitar player
I have not heard your guitar playing, but I will check you out. that kid recorded that when he was 12. I just thought I'd share my find with everone here because I think the kid jams! I know when I was his age I did not even have the chops ,fluid movement, or speed and dexterity like he has ,I just think he jams .........I've been jammin for 26 years but its exciting to see upcoming talent at a younger age.

Okay, Take any one of those tracks, record it and put it up for us to compare, tell you what take more than five minutes if you need. We won't factor in that his is studio but I want you to back this up, if you can come close I will eat my words but I have heard you both and unless you've jumped about 10 levels since the last one I heard it's no contest. Deal with that.
On a different note:
We have been over this again and agian dude. It's not what you say it's how you say it. If you need examples of diplomatic ways to say you don't like something look through some of Stiglars and CC's posts when they don't like something. They have criticized not only my music but others as well regarding things they don't like but they don't rip people in the process. My patients with you is running out dude, you have a lot of potential and just when I start thinking you are alright you go and say something stupid again.

ok man ,
i think eric has said enough in his post so i won't get too into this ,
but the fact is , being harsh like that isn't good for anyone , i've been told by teachers bad teachers that i was crap and it's not a pleasant situation to be in ... i've almost given up guitar because of what people have said about me . you just have to be careful how you say things dude.
i think you've done a couple of pretty cool covers on this board on your time here , but i really would like to see someone learn one of those songs in 5 minutes .
the kid uses alot of real complex soloing theories in his playing which i greatly respect .
i'm not sure if your feeling threatened for some reason or whatever is going on . but the bottom line is you go around saying things like that it sticks in the music business and people simply aren't going to give you gigs .
