Buzzing on my Low E string?

Recently ive switched to these larger gauge ernie ball strings instead of the super slinky ones I normally use. Lately ive noticed that on nearly every fret I play on my low E string, theres this annoying buzzing sound I cant stand when I play power chords. I heard this problemt can be caused by numerous things such as worn frets, worn nut and neck problems. The thing is, I just got my guitar (gibson SG) no more than 6 months ago so i dont know if I should be experiencing any of these troubles yet, though I do play ALOT in my spare time. Any tips on what I should do? Is replacing the nut expensive and can I even trust a repair shop with my precious guitar?

Changing to heavier gauge strings can mean tweaking a few things sometimes

I would say that if you raise the action on of that string or on that side it will disappear.

A heavier gauge string needs more room to vibrate,so I'd start there

Since you SG is only 6 months old it's set-up for you lighter strings...if you change to heavier strings it changes things and buzzing can start...so just raise that string or side of the bridge and it should stop

Going to a higher guage means a look at the proper height for that guage.
It also means that in spite of adjusting for the new guage you might have the neck twist instead of flex in a linear, straight manner.
