I want to block off my floyd rose on my Ibanez so i can play it.
I do NOT like Floyd rose like trems so I want to block it off since i like the guitar and i dont have enough cash to buy an Ibanez with a fixed tail peice.
Also what does it do when you block it off? Does it make it so its like a regular guitar to tune?
thanks for any help and sorry for my stupid questions.

the 2 most common ways are..
1... take your back scratch plate off then tighten the screws so it pulls the trem right back(make sure you loosen your strings first..
2 just put a small peice of wood under your trem, that will stop it going backwards,,
Is your bridge floating (goes back and forth)? I am assuming since it is an Ibanez that it probably does. There was a post this past few weeks where a guy took a little L shaped bracket, and screwed it to his guitar with the other part of the bracket keeping the Floyd from moving. Then just tighten the springs on the back a bit, and Voila! The thing won't move!
