Could you spare a minute?
 A good friend of mine has entered a songwriting competition, and both he and myself would appreciate it if you could check his song out, and maybe vote if you like it enough?

Well I've thrown a vote in for Dave  and lespaul no offense but I dont think he wantede a reply like that.

No offense taken, but I think you've took my comment the wrong way mate
I know Saul from another guitar forum and what I meant was there doesnt seem to be the same level of interaction here that we see on the other forum Saul and I use.
If I'm understanding Saul's 2nd post correctly then I think thats what he meant to???
I certainly wasn't trying to be offensive to Dave, Saul or anyone else on here so I hope it didn't appear like I was?
PS. I had already voted for Dave its a really good song and he deserves to do well.

No I know ya didn't mean it to offend but it just shows like the only response ya got was when he complained about it ya know. lol dont matter anyway, oh and I know which site your on about too lol Could never get into it there though personally lol

lespaul...checked out your song, good song mate!! I do like the song, the playing is good but the production seems to be lacking somewhat IMO. Im gonna put a vote in anyway though because its a songwriting competition and your song is great!!
EDIT: But I'll have to do it tomorrow lol I only voted for Dave today apparently I thought I did it yesterday though. Oh well

So your a geetah player like your old man then eh!!!
I agree totally with you the production is lacking......I recorded it by plugging my guitar and mic into my acoustic amp and then fed the line out from the amp into my soundcard!!!
I actually added the tambourine and guitar solo (if you can call it that!!) later on when i got this free multi-track software
It says that production quality is not taken into account so hopefully it shouldn't matter, i'm not expecting to get anywhere really - it was only a fiver to enter so I thought I'd give it a go just to see what happens......
Anyhow thanks for the vote man and your honest comments about the song, I really appreciate it and respect your honesty ;-) |
