d-tuna set-up problem?

Hey guys, I'm new here and I think this is an awesome site. Got a problem. I tried to install an EVH D-Tuna to my musicman Axis but the d-tuna won't slide forward enough under the floyd rose to be in E instead of D. It seems like it is getting too much pressure from the leaf spring pushing from underneath. When I put it on, I used the long screw like they said in the instruction book, but it doesn't work right. Do I need to bend the leaf spring on the floyd rose to allow travel. I don't want to mess up the floyd rose on the guitar. Anybody else here experienced this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: d-tuna set-up problem?

you havr to keep your fine tuner high...or lowered all the way.....it limits your range of fine tuning but it may work....a little WD-40 could help a little too
