DOD G7 Processor Question

Does anyone out there have a DOD G7 (and the instruction manual)? I bought one new about 5 or 6 years ago, but have long since misplaced the instruction manual. All of the patches are now acting totally flaky and I recall that there is a way to reset the unit back to the factory presets. Unfortunately, I no longer have the manual that tells the process necessary to reset the unit (I think you need to press a certain combination of buttons). The DOD site isn't much help, either.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Wolfman once gave me a useful link for this sort of thing: go there.

Re: DOD G7 Processor Question

Dude -- many thanks! That was the info I needed.

I tried it and unfortunately I think my G7 is toast. It comes up with the Reset message, but everything is still scrambled. The LCD shows gibberish and I can't move through the programs. I'm guessing a power surge or something fried it. I can't even reprogram the user settings. Oh, well...time to upgrade...

I've bookmarked that link, though. That's excellent info to have.

Re: DOD G7 Processor Question

MrEd, before you toss the unit in the trash, try changing the lithium battery inside the unit. Those things apparently back up memory apart from just powering the lCD.

I had an ART SGE Mach II that started acting all funky on me like it was possessed - the LCD started flickering and then glowing brightly; presets wouldn't come out sounding right, etc.

I changed thew battery inside the rack casing.

Kaching - good as new. LOL
