Dino I am going to respond to that. I hate BCRich guitars, they suck big A$$.
Especially there acoustics they sound like they have been stuffed full of toilet paper hahaha, and they all look and feel ugly to me.
I also am not a fan of the flying V, I think they look dated and any guitar that I cannot sit down with and relax and enjoy my playing, is not a guitar that I would play.
I hate all the replica guitars, meaning the Via and Malmsteen guitars etc. Even though they might be great instruments, they were designed specifically for another person not for us!
I do really like the old arch top full acoustic electrics, especially the Gibsons.
My dad who is no longer with us had a beautiful Gibson ES75 (I think ES75) from the late 40's with one pickup, blond in color and with an Arch top. What a beautiful sounding Jazz guitar. They work best with flat wound strings.
I first played that guitar when I was 4 or something even though I didn't really know how to play I fell in love with it.
It was appraised at 7K US
Anyways its not mine because I am a lefty D$mm It and it was therefore left to my brother who does not play much. The sadesst part of this story is that my brother without knowing any better took this guitar in its mint condition and left it over a hot water radiator for a couple of years.
The guitar now buzzes on most notes, the neck is warped and the finish is all cracked.
What a waste after it surviving in mint shape for over 65 years. Oh well I am off to get some kleenex lol.
By the way this is an extreme example of what humidity (Lack Of) can do, I mention this because we are both participating in the Buzz thread.
Later bud, Golden Ears

should have included the PRS body style as an option. I'm definitely a classic stratocaster fan, but I find the PRS so nice too... hard to choose from.

I prefer the soloist body style. Sleeker and more comfortable than a strat and allows for MUCH better playablity (and less back/shoulder fatigue) than a les paul.
My C66 has sort of a blend between the strat and soloist body.
My DC though is straight up soloist and is neck through so the playablity is out of this world.

this guitar is beautiful. i can see you got the pickups replaced...though i dont get what those switches are for. they sort of look like the things you find on an electric sitar, but dont know.

I'm kinda partial to the "Super-Strat" shape that Ibanez make. It kicks ass!! That and I adore the Wolfgang shape, its just so smooth and twisted at the same time...Love it...
Gorgeous, Oh and this...
I suppose its kinda the same but I like it just as much either way.

Carvin's DC135 comes standard with individual on/off switches for each of the 3 pickups. The 4th one furthest back away from the neck is a coil tap switch for the humbucker to switch it to 1 coil.
Of course, they also offer the traditional 5 way blade (strat type) pickup selector but the individual switches offer tons of flexablity. The single coil pup mixed with the bridge sounds really cool.

In my opinion the Les Paul and EC style bodies are the best. The tone, and the look is unbeatable in my opinion. I mean a LEs with a quilted maple top is just beautiful. Add a See-Thru Black Cherry finish and its untouchable...just an opinion tho.

Seriously torn between Strat or Les Paul.
I chose Paul....
I love me cheap little Squire Bullit strat. It's dirt simple and actually surprises most elitist people who assume a Squire can't be good, let alone a super low price one.
I want to change the pickup, get better tuners and do some creative wiring. I want an actual on/off switch as well as a momentary push-off kill switch. Stuff to play with. Maybe in the future I'll crap out the cash for a graphite neck or something neato like that.
I also really enjoy playing my Less Paul Gothic. I bought it used at Gaytar Center. I looked up and saw it, and realized it was used. Then I had to look back at it because something wasn't right. My friend an I both noticed about the same time this Goth has a uncommon option from the Epiphone factory.
It may only be a liscensed Floyd, but that can be changed. And I fully intend to change that. I also want different pickups (who doesn't on a "budget" guitar). I'd like to refinish it to get rid of a couple nasty chunks out of the finish, but that's not a big deal. Long term goals. The guitar plays really nicely and I'm certainly happy with my purchase, despite the location of it. At least they tossed in a couple packs of strings since it needed some BAD along with a proper clean-up/setup on the trem.
I can remember, probably 10 years ago now at least, looking online at a guitar dealers site. The dealer was from Pa or Ny and they had a HUGE inventory. A couple hundred guitars listed online alone, including some beautiful PRS Dragons. All the way down at the bottom of the listing was a guitar listed as a "Westone Electra Flying V". It was pretty decent looking as I recall, and included a hard case. I loved it. Of course I was about 11 and didn't have any skills or great aspirations to play well at that very moment, but I still wanted that guitar. It was too cool.
I know a couple times I hunted around and never saw anything online about that guitar. Until about a month ago. I found one that had just sold on E-Bay.
That one is pretty beat, but it give me some decent points of reference. Now I just need to fine someone that HAS one and will measure and trace it, because I want to build one. I want to kinda mimic the styling of the Jackson Kevin Bond signature guitar (which I wouldn't mind owning).
I think that would be a sweet ass guitar. I'd probably just run 2 humbuckers in it. I'd also use a Floyd trem. The original Electra design has a huge heel where the neck bolts on, and I think I'll look into finding a way to reduce it, move the neck into the body deeper or something, and maybe mount the neck pickup solid to the neck a la Ed Roman.
Speaking of Ed Roman, I like the Quicksilver he sells. It's apparentally a finely tuned copy of the PRS guitars with a several improvemnts including a JEM-like routing for easy access to the upper frets. He certainly prices them like the are up there. Maybe some day when I'm rich, I'll try one out.
Yeah, that's REAL Boa. Different.
That enough pictures for everyone?

I have'nt been here in awhile. But anyone who's seen me around awhile back KNOWS my preference, lol.
#1.) Fender Jaguar

The most comfortable body I've EVER had on a guitar, I can play a Jaguar for hours and never get tired of playing. On top of that, it's underrated, can look evil and intimidating with the right parts. Besides, having that much wood mass (it has a bit more than a Strat) gives even the originals a nice tone for just about anything when set up right and EQ'd right.
#2.) Fender Jag-Stang

It's like a cross between a Jaguar in shape (not much Mustang to it shapewise), with Telecaster thickness and the lack of contours, but with the control scheme of a mustang. This is one of the few guitars I can sling even Punk Rocker low and not lose out in the teqnique department for some reason, which is a benifit it has over the Fender Jaguar body style. They are usually basswood which gives them a very warm tone, which works well for that monster type Sabbath-ish big-lumbering-beast type tone.
#3.) Kramer Focus 1000-3000

Probably the best strat style/derivative body I've had used. It feels between that of a Fender Jaguar and a Stratocaster because of the deeper bass side waist but has a general Strat style shape, and the general contours they used. It also has a very subtle cool looking difference from your everyday Fender Stratocaster.
As for colors, any variant of blue/black/teal, or graphics with a cute pinup girl, or just really cool looking "thing" type graphics like lightning or marble. I like guitars that look innocent, vintage, or otherwise "harmless" but can keep up with your typical Jackson or Ibanez. Sort of a "Stealth" thing.
