I just got out of wqork today. For some reason, I wanted to go to the grocery store for sopme items and i decided to check out the magazine stuff for guitar mags and i saw Guitar For The Practicing Musician> I went wtf? I mean,, they stopoped that name long ago back in 1995 since i been getting that magazine since 1987. Well anyways,, The editors from Guitar One put out A special Issue Of "Guitar For The Practicing Musician" and the main topic on it is "Heroes Of The 80's" and guess who is on the cover? None other than Eddie himself! killer magazine ! I suggest all the guitarists to get it! Will be definite good magazine to own and a cool collectors item. It has tons of old articles it from the old guitar magazine days that i remember. here is the article list done on guitarist::

Randy Rhoads
Eddie Van Halen
Yngwie Malmsteen
Stevie Ray Vaughan
George Lynch

Steve Vai
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Def Leppard
Night Ranger
Queensryche
and last but not least.. one af my fav bands from the 80's that i happend to see last yr live and they rocked like hell....Tesla

Man,, I'm from the old school rock of guitarist and this issue is one of the best to me I have sen in yrs. now,, I am not finished yet. Here is the List of 8 songs in tablature for this issue. mostly I have all these already but I wanted it cause of the old articles and as a collectors item for me. ok here's the list..

Ac/Dc- Back in Black
Yngwie Malmsteen- Marching Out
Ozzy Ozzbourne- Crazy Train
Metallica- Seek & Destroy
Ratt- Lay It Down
Stevie Ray Vaughan- Pride And Joy

hey rob,, do you still have those issues from back then? I had way too much,, and like a dummy I was,, I started cutting out the tablature that i wanted and trashed the magazines. God knows I wish I would have kept em because I was getting em from 1987. i can remember the issue also. I first learned how to read the tablature from the magazine and my first tune i learned was,, you give love a bad name from bon jovi,, cause it was in that magazine issue.

I kept like everyone and cut ou the tabs I needed only just recently! I moved a couple of times so I had to! I have one full trunk and at least four milk crates full and a few boxes! I stopped subscribing probably back in 98' because I just didn't like the tunes that were out and the tabs were for songs anyone could play. Thats just my opinion! I still pick up an issue here and there if I see a band or song I like!
