just listening to this song again . . (i don't listen to it much) just amazed at the intro riff and how fast eddie used to do it on tour ... can anyone actually do this riff ?? i just can't do that string skipping crap ! [img]images/smilies/icon_lol.gif[/img]

I think that maybe Eric can, he's pretty fast. He's really good at that stuff.

For Me,It's much easier if you play it on the 7th fret on the E string,then to the 7th fret on the d string. Then open A string to the 7th d. Instead of playing only on the a and g string. I still can't play it very good though!

You can cheat if you have the reach for it by only playing it on the A and D strings, you don't get the nice beefy sound of the low E but it works for playing it up to speed [img]images/smilies/icon_wink.gif[/img]

yeah i tried to do it on the 7th fret of the E string and D string , i just need to work on my picking as i said somewhere else on these forums , i can never get that eddie rhythm it always sounds liek a robot ! hehe
