Hi, I\'m Tom

Yeah yeah... i know you're thinking "this should go into the intro forum"... but i'm only going to be posting in the guitar forum. i'm moderator forum that i'm quite attatched to, but i still like to go to other forums and give guitar advice.

So, I just wanted to let people know---if your guitar breaks, you have a question about why something is a certain way, how something works, or you just have a question about guitars---what to buy, what woods produce what tone, and what to look for in an acoustic---i'm here.

I'm a luthier. a luthier makes guitars---and i don't like to keep to myself about it, because I'm be full of questions, and nobody can usually answer them. so, sorry if i come off as arrogant or if i seem like i'm bragging---but i wanna come here to help anybody who has a question.

so, make a thread or IM me if you've got a question.

Re: Hi, I\'m Tom

Welcome aboard, Tom!
I have a cousin who's a luthier too. I fabricates accoustic guitars from the ground up in his shop. He used to specialize in fine woodwork, inlay and restoration of antique and historic furniture for museums, but ended up converting to making guitars.
His wife is the tone freak and knows guitars inside and out. They make long road trips to go and select in person certain woods from their supplier.
That's a wonderful line of work you're in.
