Re: HOW DO I WORK COOL EDIT

it's not too hard really .. once you have your mic setup basically choose a track (say track 1)

and click the R button there should be red ... next to the green mute button and the s solo button .. then you just press record and your away ....

if you want to use one of the many backing tracks you seem to have just go into the insert menu and click "Insert wav from file " then you can choose any mp3/wav/anything you like and slot it in ..

you can also download drum beats from www.loopology.com if you want to make your own ...

if your having problems getting your mic to work .. it's prolly the way you have your control panels setup wrong for your mic not teh program

hope that helps !

Re: HOW DO I WORK COOL EDIT

ok ,

find your volume control panel .. i can't really help you where to find it cause it's a bit different on different versions of windows .

it should be a whole lot of controls saying like :

play control , midi , wav , cd audio .. etc ...where it says microphone make sure underneath it it doesn't have "mute" selected

then :

go into the options menu .. .and then preferences ... then where it says : "Adjust volume for :"

and it'll have "playback" .. and then "recording" click on recording . it'll have a different set of controls make sure where it says microphone underneath it has the "select" button ticked .

i hope that helped you out a bit ... i'm really no good at explaining this type of thing

COOL EDIT PRO 2 Tips

FOR MAKING SURE YOUR MIC IS ON TO RECORD

1. look at bottom right of your screen, double click the sound control(the horn).
2. Click options
3. Click properties
4. mark recording(in the bullet list)
5. In the scroll down list check MIC VOLUME
6. Click OK
7. In recording control, check mic volume (bottom, says select next to it)
8. Close Recorder controls
9. Open cool edit and hit record(Red Button- do it at 22050)
10. Play your damn guitar w/ mic by amp
11. Save as wav, and convert it to mp3 in cool edit or another prog.
-------------------
1. To add effects just click EFFECTS TAB and choose what you want. If your guitar volume is to low on the record, click amplify>amplify.
2. Now you can add more then 1 track, say drums and guitar. go to view>multitrack view. and add your files.
-------------------
Any problems private msg me or leave a reply...

Re: HOW DO I WORK COOL EDIT

its the recording thing lol, its the best you can either use 11025, 44100, or 22050. 2, is the best one. 4, is to large (mp3 size). you dont have to mic it, you can use the connect cable shit.
