Hush Super C

I'm looking to pick one up for my setup! Has anyone had any experience with one of these units?

Re: Hush Super C

I've heard alot about these units! They are supposed to be for high gain amps and since I use the 5150 combo, I thought I'd try it! Here is whats said about it on the ROCKTRON site.....Hush Super C
(Noise Reduction for guitar)

Got noise? Get HUSH. Its that simple. Rocktrons world famous HUSH products have been used by professionals for nearly two decades to wipe out noise from preamps, stomp boxes, multi-effects, even those great hand built amps and preamps, without compromising tone.

Forget about noise gates, Rocktrons HUSH Super C noise reduction is the ultimate noise exterminator for guitar players. With a minimum amount of controls, the Super C provides the maximum in performance, eliminating hiss, hum, crackle, and other annoying noise problems from your setup.

The Super C is a stereo noise reduction system in which a single set of HUSH Threshold and Gate Threshold controls are used to manipulate both channels simultaneously. The Super C is equipped with an effect IN/OUT (or bypass), and an input sensitivity switch conveniently located on the units front panel.

With a dynamic range of 105dB and 72dB of effective noise reduction, the Super C becomes a valuable tool in every guitar players rack. Rocktrons HUSH Super C leaves your tone intact. Your search for complete tonal nirvana need not take a turn for the worse just because you add much needed noise reduction.

Unlike those tone-squashing noise gates, Rocktrons V.I.R. (Variable Integrated Release) circuitry allows every note you play shine through and sustain naturally. No typical gate "chop-off" here. The V.I.R. will track every detail and nuance and provide the necessary noise reduction with ease and simplicity.

HUSH has been THE name in noise reduction for guitar players for years and is equally at home on stage and in the studio. Make the Super C your choice and use a noise reduction system designed by guitar players for guitar players.

For more in-depth information about the HUSH Super C, check out the product manual in the SUPPORT section of this website.

Specifications:

Maximum Input Level +15dB (+4 Ref.) / +5dB (-10dB Ref.), Input Impedance 470 ohms, Output Impedance less than 100 ohms, Effective Noise Reduction 72dB, Frequency Response .5dB, 10Hz - 27kHz, Dynamic Range 105dB, Noise Floor -100dBu, THD + Noise .041% @ 0dBu, 1kHz (typ), Current Consumption 385mA, Dimensions 19" x 6" x 1"

Re: Hush Super C

yea I own one, it's what I use in my rig, no problems with it and it's pretty simple, you have to run it in the effects loop to quite the amp though, I however do not use it that way I'm using it to quite all the crap I have runnin ginto the amp ;-)

Ok cool! I have some pedals running in the front end and I have a DIGITECH 256XL and BBE running in the loop. Any suggestions?
