I believe I'm looking for a chorus pedal. . .
but I'm not sure. There's a certain watery, shimmery affect that sounds nice with both clean and dirty guitar tones, and now that I've got an ear for it, I realize that many many popular artists use it. I thought it was a flanger, so I got one (WRONG!). It's kinda there, but not exactly. That could be me misusing the flanger, though. The chorus pedals I've heard don't really sound like the effect I'm talking about, but I'll list some bands/songs that use it, and maybe someone'll know what I mean. If it is a chorus effect I'm talking about, can someone recommend a pedal that has that quality of sound? And of course, if it isn't chorus, can someone clue me in as to what I'm talking about? Thanks.
